In-game HUD Toggle by Sailing (mizutamari)
Readme v5

---

A script which toggles the in-game HUD on or off with a hotkey - almost identical to how the "Hide HUD" option functioned in previous MH games.

---

Info:
This AutoHotkey script enables toggling of the in-game HUD with an assigned hotkey so that important HUD information can still be seen without being permanently shown. It can either toggle the HUD on/off when the button is pressed, or like previous games, show the HUD only when the key is held down. Additionally, it can temporarily show the HUD when the player's HP changes, or depending on whether or not the weapon is unsheathed. It is based on the work I did for my other "Hidden HUD Fix" which replaces as much of the HUD as possible with an overlay - except this one doesn't aim to reinvent the wheel (but it can't be moved offscreen).

The script actually only changes the in-game setting to hide/show the HUD - it just skips the need to open the menu. It writes a byte to the address where the option lives when it needs to.

---

Usage:
Extract the files to any folder.
Change settings as necessary in the settings.txt file.
Run the .ahk or the .exe - both should be the same.
If MHW is running at the same time, it *should* work regardless of which was started first

---

Notes:
The program changes three values each time the HUD gets toggled - once for each character slot. This is to make things a bit more convenient and should make a minimal difference.
Several things can't be hidden regardless of the game's settings. For example, the message log is impossible to hide as far as I know.

Controller Info:
These are the useable key names for XInput gamepads:
Joy1: A
Joy2: B
Joy3: X
Joy4: Y
Joy5: LB
Joy6: RB
Joy7: Select
Joy8: Start
Joy9: Left Analogue Stick Press
Joy10: Right Analogue Stick Press

For other keys, you may need to set the gamepad button to press a keyboard button as a workaround. For example, in the Steam interface by adding it through a "regular press" activator on the desired button.

About the Files:
The .exe version is a pre-compiled version of the .ahk file - it doesn't need AutoHotkey installed to run. However, it can't be edited. The .ahk version needs the "Lib\classMemory.ahk" file to work. Both versions pull settings from the settings.txt file.
